Film Check: Meet The Fockers

Meet The Fockers
http://www.meetthefockers.com

Director: Jay Roach
Cast: Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, et. al.
Production: Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro, Jay Roach
FYIs: This is the sequel to year 2000's hit film Meet The Parents.

Snippets:
After getting the approval of Pam's dad, Greg (Gaylord, played by Stiller) decided that before their marriage, the future in-laws should spend a weekend together. And the whole story revolves around this weekend, getting off with hilarious scenes ranging from the elderly "yoga" to the Focker dog to the toddler and the glue. With the original cast returning and the addition of two wonderful actors, the film is surely not your ordinary sequel. Best statement of the film: "Oh, that's not an umbilical cord... are you kidding me? That's Gaylord's foreskin."

Pros: performances of veteran actors and actresses (let alone Academy® Award Winners), the I-want-one-for-myself RV, the extra sequences during the film credits, the boob, the first word of the toddler
Cons: parents' exaggerated behavior (well technically they are eccentric, but I think it's too eccentric), marriage cut down from six months to two months to... well... a week, that cameo appearance of Owen Wilson (doesn't create much waves)

Rating: 9 out of 10. Kudos to the Fockers for doing an extremely hilarious film! Very nice...
