A Prelude To Graduation

A bad day can turn out good after all... then back to a bad one.
Graduation rehearsal can be a very chaotic day to the commencement participants. Imagine doing everything in a day... the baccalaureate mass, class picture taking, even the rehearsal itself. Add to that list the heat of the sun, a venue such as the sixth floor of the Sports Complex (in short, the topmost parking lot), lacking fans, AC's which are not in full blast (the campus is doing their "austerity measures", hoping this time it'll be true to its meaning; last time, it meant higher bills for La Salle), and togas that doesn't smell too good... it'd be more chaotic.

But of course, being the optimistic person that I am, I find that this day brought some possible mishaps that turned into positive outcomes. And all of these I'll summarize in my Top Ten List.

Top Ten Happenings The Past 24 Hours
10. I missed the academic attire (toga) distribution, and I learned that I won't be able to attend the class picture taking and baccalaureate mass because of it.
9. I stayed in the EA office: feeling depressed, filling up the alumni form, talking to Boboy, taping Ivy's ID on the door opening, greeting an ecstatic Ivy with a wicked smile (with her figuring out things 10 minutes after), seeing the two Allens, Jolenz, Marvin Q., Lai, JC Revano, Sherry, and Beck.
8. It's back to The Venue for lunch... and possibly the last time.

7. It's refreshing to see faces I haven't seen in two months, as opposed to seeing walls as a bum.
6. Pictures never seem to be amiss, as it was a good thing I didn't forget to bring mine (will upload pics as soon as bandwidth permits).
5. Speaking of pictures, it was nice that the whole ST block squeezed their way into just one BIG picture.

4. It's my first time to be in a Chicken McDo™ buffet. It was worth it... and also worth putting a moratorium on chicken for two weeks afterwards

3. I opened the topic of giving a reprimand to both Joseph and Rex, but I wasn't able to get the detailed explanation I needed.

2. During the baccalaureate mass, more precisely while The Lord's Prayer was sung, I got a certain call. Is it worth answering the call in an untimely manner? Hmmm...
-and... (drum roll please)-
1. A certain angel by the name of Janine Tolentino gave me the chance to attend those functions by lending me her academic attire. I will be grateful for as long as I see the class picture with me in it. Thanks!

Saturday is nearing... and after the ceremonies, it will officially be over.

Marvin the Martian™, jaz thinking aloud

P.S. I'm running out of... ties!
